Minnesota wrapped up competition at the 2019 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Minnesota track & field program wrapped up competition at the 2019 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships with the women finishing seventh at 60 points while the men came in ninth with 36 points. Ohio State won the women's team title and Nebraska claimed the men's team title at the U-M Indoor Track in Ann Arbor.

The women scored 37 points in eight events on day two of the B1G Championship led by Val Larson, Amira Young, and Rachel Schow scoring points in two events. Larson was Minnesota's top finisher on day two of the meet, picking up a runner-up finish in the 600 meters in 1:30.12 while Young recorded a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash in her B1G debut and tied her career-best time of 7.39 seconds. Schow also posted a career-best time, placing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.40 seconds and improving on her third-ranked time in Minnesota history. The trio joined Erin Huls to make up Minnesota's eighth-place 4x400 meter relay team as well; Schow, Huls, Young and Larson ran 3:44.96 to win their heat and place eighth overall.
