SARASOTA, Fla. - The Golden Gophers rowing team closed their weekend of competition Saturday during the second day of the 2023 Big Ten Invitational from the Dale England Rowing Center in Sarasota, Fla.
 
Minnesota raced against nationally-ranked Alabama as well as UCLA and Wisconsin, two teams receiving votes in the latest Pocock CRCA Poll. The first varsity eight boat gave the Maroon and Gold its top time of the day, covering the course in 6:29.175 to finish third in the heat.
